Chris McFarlane

A prolific painter, Chris is happiest with brush in hand building layer upon layer building a rich explosion of colour and texture.  His hallmark circular motifs can be seen across his work His painting comes straight from his heart, thinking is not needed as pure action is the way. 

Coming to The White Room to ‘do my art’ is important for Chris, having such a ‘good space’ to create makes him feel better.  

Chris has exhibited in many places over his years as an artist including Bowen House at New Zealand Parliament and Eastside Gallery. His solo exhibition You Spin Me Round took place at Art Hole in 2023.
