Kia ora and welcome to The White Room Creative Space
We are a charity and creative studio space that removes barriers to making art for people with learning disabilities and other under-served community members. We foster self-expression, celebrate creativity, and promote greater inclusion in the arts. Our studio is now open to public bookings for individuals, groups, and studio hire, come create in our space!
Pop-up Art Shop at The Tannery
We’re excited to be bringing The White Room back to The Tannery from 16 November – 13 December!
Our pop-up shop is our biggest fundraiser of the year, celebrating the creativity of our incredible artists, sharing their work and engaging with the wider Ōtautahi community.
Every purchase makes a difference and supports:
• Artists to earn income from their artwork.
• Keeping The White Room studio running.
• Making art accessible to our community.
Shop local, support local artists, and give creativity a place to grow. We can’t wait to see you there!
Support Accessiable Art
Want to support accessible art in your community?
We’re looking for people who want to support our kaupapa by volunteering with The White Room.
Volunteering could involve helping in our gallery space or pop-up shop, supporting events, or lending a hand around the studio. No specific experience is needed, just an open mind, a friendly attitude, and a willingness to support inclusive creative spaces.
