Isaac Tait

Artist, performer, and poet, Isaac’s life is art and he wants to share it with you. He is never at a loss for ideas - they fall out of him ready formed onto canvas, paper, a cardboard box. Whatever is close to hand.  

Isaac has produced a huge body of work during his time with The White Room, ranging from statements about current political events to more contemplative, evocative pieces. Although seemingly spontaneous, his art is the result of a complex process of design, refinement and planning.  

Isaac has exhibited his work widely, including a number of White Room group shows, the Christchurch Art Show, his solo exhibition Why Are You Here? at Arthole in 2022, ‘React’ at the Centre of Contemporary Art Toi Moroki 2024, and a performance art piece at Tiny Fest in 2024.
