Blaire leads The White Room alongside co-leader Simon Gray. She joined The White Room in 2021 as part of a Ministry of Culture and Heritage funded outreach programme. This three-year programme was an opportunity to create exhibitions and projects in and around the city, ultimately leading The White Room to where it is today.

‘I feel extremely lucky to be a part of this initiative, not only for the variety and creativity it inspires, but to be surrounded by such talented and passionate artists. Art and culture play such important roles in society, and I hope that we’re working towards helping people understand that.’

Blaire is a self-taught artist in many ways, from pastels to printmaking, paper making and natural dying. She has a love of learning and teaching that has taken her from teaching English in Spain to running creative workshops at The White Room, the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA), as well as privately.
